Aaron Eden had run away from a foster home where he had been continually abused, to find his half brother, who his mother had described to him before her death in a train accident, four years previously. Aaron had arrived in Fox Flat, purely by accident and had gone into the cafe to buy a feed. Having used his last five dollars, he took the opportunity of picking up a wallet left on the table and was seen by the cafe proprietor.
